Hi friend of farmers, about when is a good time to plant corn? Well, of course, this question will often asked by people who have never planted corn before. For that, God willing, by my little experience, I would share about this.
Well, a good time to plant corn is when it is the rainy season, or if predictable from October to March each year. Why is the rainy season? Because, at this season precipitation, thus resulting corn demand for water is always fulfilled every day.
In the rainy season, dry soils that are transformed into wet, loose and of course more fertile. Therefore, in this season maize is easier to grow, evolve and also more fertile than when planted in the dry season. And, no less importantly, as corn get a lot of water, the fruit will be great and quality. When the soil is always wet, fertilizers applied to corn would be easily absorbed by the soil. If so, it would be easy for the corn to absorb fertilizers applied. Well, so the corn will become more fertile again, due to the optimal absorption of fertilizers.
Another advantage for farmers is, when the rainy season they do not need to do to corn-corn watering them. Yes, very true, that naturally, the rain has been meeting the needs of water to corn. Unlike the case when the drought, farmers have difficulty to water the corn crop.
If we plant at a place close to the water source, it does not matter. Because we can water them by hand, or use a water suction machine that takes water from the nearest water source. But the obstacle is when we plant corn in a tough spot of water, then this is one of the tests that must be faced farmer.
Yes, it must be admitted that the drought is one of the obstacles farmers to grow crops. But, despite that do not let you give up to plant corn.
